She was allegedly kidnapped in August by the suspect, a 200-Level Philosophy student at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) in Ogun State, along the Ikorodu-Yaba Road in Lagos.
SaharaReporters had previously detailed how internet users had begun to trend the hashtag #JusticeForChristianah on X in an effort to call for the suspect’s prompt prosecution.
Many tweeps also speculated that Ayomide might have been responsible for his biological sister’s death in 2020 and his ex-girlfriend’s death in 2018 due to allegedly identical circumstances.
In response, Lagos State Police Spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin verified the suspect’s detention in a brief statement shared on X along with a photo of him in handcuffs.
