According to reports, a building collapse in Nomansland, Fagge Local Government Area, Kano State, claimed the lives of at least two individuals; the other two were apparently saved.

The remains of the deceased were found as the operation went on, according to Saminu Abudullahi, Public Relations Officer of the Kano State Fire Service, who verified that rescue teams had saved two lives who are now being treated in a hospital.

The building’s stability was affected by the flooding, he continued, as it was located close to the overrun stream.

The tragedy happened in Kano State after the severe consequences of recent rainfall.

In the meantime, the floods in 21 of the state’s local government areas had destroyed 5,280 houses and killed 31 lives, according to a report released by the Kano State Emergency Management Agency on Wednesday.
