PDP accuses Aiyedatiwa, the governor of Ondo, of plotting to rig the governorship election by enlisting Tinubu’s loyalist, MC Oluomo.

The party claims that by taking use of MC Oluomo’s reputation and ability to compel people to vote unfairly, this partnership seeks to undermine the credibility of the next gubernatorial election.

Concerns have been voiced by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State about the governor’s alleged intention to work with Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, a controversial person with connections to President Bola Tinubu.

The party claims that this partnership seeks to undermine the validity of the next gubernatorial election by unfairly influencing the results through MC Oluomo’s reputation and ability to use coercion.

The state governor of Ondo State, Musiliu Akinsanya, often known as MC Oluomo, is a controversial character with ties to President Bola Tinubu. The PDP has expressed worries over the governor’s alleged plan to work with him.

Additionally, the PDP claimed that Ayedatiwa’s administration had been funding violent actions and intimidating opponents with the state’s security vote.

The statement says as follows: “As we draw closer to Ondo State’s November 16th governor’s race, due consideration has been given to Gov. Lucky Ayedatiwa’s astute actions to jeopardise the peace and tranquilly of our beloved State. We have deciphered the strategic actions that have been used to achieve these evil objectives.

“Global Olabod Resources, a security firm, stated in a recent meeting with farmers in Idanre that it had a contract with the government to protect farmers and their farmland.

“Our manager, Debo Ariyo, claims that the company has permission from the Governor to oversee all security operations in the State. Mr. Gbenga Atiba, the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Security Matters, has refuted this claim, claiming that the company was only responsible for counting farmers. Despite this, we are not fooled by his attempt to hide the Government’s malicious intent.”

We assert that the Amotekun Security Network’s primary function is to carry out the tasks assigned to this anonymous company under contract.

“We also take note of Mr. Musiliu Akinsanya, commonly known as MC Oluomo, an APC enforcer from Lagos who has played and is still playing horrible roles in

According to official records, Governor Ayiedatiwa extended a warm welcome to him. Unverified rumours suggest that this man received a $1 million present after his dubious visit to Ondo State.

We further note that a few APC members in Ondo East, including Snr Apostle Akinmejiwa Olusola, Alhaji Adesina Salami, Akintunde Temitope Olainukan, and others, informed their lawyers, Messrs. Kuewunmi, Iluyemi & Co., about various threats to their lives from Rt Hon. Olamide Oladiji, Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, simply because they accused him of stealing N2.5 million and palliatives sent by the Federal Government, allotted to their Ondo East Local Government.

We therefore take seriously the idea that there is a high likelihood of violence within the APC in Ondo State, to the point where party veterans chose to act swiftly against their leaders in order to prevent their lives from being taken without warning. This further supports our findings.

Rising from (4) above, we remember that violence and intimidation of opponents and their allies were the norm during the gubernatorial primary election that resulted in Lucky Ayiedatiwa being the APC’s candidate.

We sincerely want to report that, in the interest of maintaining peace and the advancement of our state, reckless attitudes of this kind must be avoided in the upcoming election. Numerous people were gravely injured, nearly beheaded, and rendered handicapped.

“We assert that the designation of Global Olabod Resources as stated in (1) above, for any reason, is a nefarious and illegal plot to tamper with the election by stealing ballots and intimidating voters.

“Therefore, we demand that the appointment of these mercenaries be immediately revoked, as the people will undoubtedly respond appropriately to their activities.”

“That we note and seriously emphasise that Musiliu Akinsanya is a harbinger of violence everywhere he goes, and that we reject any plan to engage him for any purpose in Ondo State.”

His involvement in the previous Osun State governorship election is widely known, and since he lost that contest, he will likewise lose this one if Ayiedatiwa chooses to enlist him and his motley crew to rig the results. As they say, one word is enough for the wise.

As a Party, we detest violence, and we urge the APC to follow the law since breaking it will have serious repercussions. Although we could come out as polite, we would like to clarify that this is not a sign of weakness.

For this reason, the party called on the heads of other security agencies, the director general of the Department of State Services (DSS), and the inspector general of police to take further
