In a statement, the YCE’s General-Secretary, Chief Oladipo Oyewole, stated that while the organisation was optimistic about the country’s future, a lot of suffering is still occurring there at the moment.

Indeed, Nigerians are going through a great deal right now—they don’t have food, fuel, or light.
“The President ought to promptly go back to the drawing board in order to address the immediate and short-term needs of the Nigerian people, all the while pursuing the long-term goal of improving Nigeria as a hub for development and progress.”
“As Elders, YCE seeks immediate assistance for the people to improve Nigerian welfare so that everyone can live in peace and comfort.”

“The Bola Tinubu administration needs to act swiftly to guarantee that its plans to create and implement improved governance in Nigeria are properly guided.
“In fact, the Presidency ought to act immediately and without delay to lessen the suffering of every Nigerian.”
