Rabiu Kwankwaso, the national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has criticised the federal government led by President Bola Tinubu for entrusting an All Progressives Congress (APC) veteran with the distribution of rice palliatives in Kano State.
This was said in a statement that the NNPP’s previous presidential candidate shared on his official X account on Monday.
According to Kwankwaso, the governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, was excluded by the federal government from the delivery of palliative care, in contrast to other states.
He claims that the palliatives were distributed to 35 states by their governors, with the exception of Kano State, which received its part from APC heavyweights.
“A gross insult to our constitutional democracy and driving partisanship too far,” was how he put the development.
To “immediately halt this naked derailment of democracy,” the NNPP leader urged Tinubu.
