Journalists were reportedly informed by a family source that his kidnappers had received a N10 million ransom before his lifeless body was discovered.
It’s possible that they killed him after he identified one of them to avoid being discovered.
Three weeks ago, they kidnapped him when he was heading to a party and demanded a ransom. Ten million Naira was given to the kidnappers. They nevertheless killed him. Very depressing,” the source said.
The Anambra State Police Command has not yet made an official statement regarding the regrettable occurrence.
The Command’s spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga, did not answer calls when the SaharaReporters attempted to speak with him about the event on Tuesday morning.
Despite earlier reports that he claimed the police were unaware of the incident, he has not responded to a text message query.
