“Go make history, FIFA U-20 World Cup,” demands the Sports Minister. Japan will lose to Super Falconets.

Nigeria’s U-20 women’s football team, the Falconets, have been tasked by Minister of Sports Development John Enoh to play with bravery and tenacity in their forthcoming quarterfinal match against Japan.

Early on Friday morning, the Super Falconets and Japan will square off for a spot in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup quarterfinals, which are currently being held in Colombia.

In a statement released by his spokesperson Diana-Mary Nsan, Enoh praised the team’s outstanding performance throughout the group stage. They finished second in Group D, tied on points with Germany, and achieved noteworthy victories against South Korea and Venezuela.

He stressed that the team has the support of the entire country and exhorted the players to make history by facing Japan head-on without holding back.

“The Falconets have performed remarkably well and tenaciously during the group stage. They definitely possess what it takes to defeat Japan, in my opinion. I tell the girls to go into the game believing in themselves and their skills. You have the support of the entire nation, and I am sure you will make us proud. Enoh stated, “Play with your hearts and don’t leave any stone unturned.”

The Falconets’ tactical discipline and great team spirit have carried them to the knockout stages, and the sports minister is optimistic that their battling spirit will be evident.

You have proven that you are capable of competing with the greatest, so now is the time for you to go out there and battle for every ball, every opportunity, and every victory. You and Japan make a formidable team, though. We are all behind you, and this is your chance to make history,” he continued.
