Legendary Arsenal player Paul Merson has stated that the outcome of their next two games will decide their chances of winning the Premier League this year.
Following the international break, Mikel Arteta’s team will travel to play champion Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur in back-to-back away games.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Merson stated that the Gunners needed to win both games by a minimum of four points.
The next two games for Arsenal against Tottenham and Man City will determine how successful they are in the Premier League, he stated.
“They require four points.” That is all there is to it.
“You start to worry if they score any less because in Man City, you’re up against a machine.”
At seven points, two fewer than City and Liverpool, Arsenal is presently ranked third in the table.
