Ballon d’Or 2024: Rodri identifies the nation deserving of producing the winner

The midfielder for Manchester City, Rodri, believes that Spain should provide the next Ballon d’Or winner.

The Euro 2024 champions had not seen any of its players receive the accolade in 64 years.

Rodri has recently stated to ESPN that winning the Ballon d’Or will be a “dream for me.”

The 28-year-old is thought to be Vinícius Júnior’s main opponent for the prize this year.

Rodri won Euro 2024 Player of the Tournament and assisted City in winning the Premier League for the fourth time in a row last season.

“There are a lot of people who say if Rodri is going to win it, how, for example, did [Andrés] Iniesta or Xavi not win it?
