
The National Assembly representative for Oyo State’s Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West federal constituency, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, has given the state’s delegation an assignment to do exceptionally well at the National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.
Speaking through Tolu Mustapha, his Special Advisor on Media and Public Affairs, Hon. Adedeji Olajide stressed the value of perseverance, commitment, and collaboration while wishing the athletes well at the games.
The federal legislator exhorted them to pursue excellence in all they do, show good sportsmanship, and be excellent representatives of Oyo State.
Recall that competing in this sport is about more than just picking up medals; it’s also about making friends, developing mutual respect, and becoming better people.
“I implore you all to represent Oyo State with pride and on the international sports map. Your performance in this competition will demonstrate the state’s commitment to sports and youth development,” he counselled.
Olajide, a two-term legislator and ranking member of the National Assembly from Oyo state, expressed confidence in the state’s contingent of 250 athletes and 58 officials, saying they will compete in 28 sports, including ball games.
