Lagos Removes Vendors From Beneath the Obalende Bridge

In a statement published on Friday on the Ministry’s official social media account, Wahab disclosed that the agents seized a number of objects and demolished the systems that supported the illicit activity.

Officials from the State Environmental Sanitation Corps have successfully removed illicit vendors from the Obalende Underbridge area, according to a statement made by Tokunbo Wahab, the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources.

In a statement published on Friday on the Ministry’s official social media account, Wahab disclosed that the agents seized a number of objects and demolished the systems that supported the illicit activity.

The operation was a component of a state-wide monitoring and enforcement effort to preserve environmental sanity.

Wahab said, “Operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (KAI) dislodged illegal traders at Obalende underbridge towards Dodan Barracks during a monitoring and enforcement operation.”
