According to Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh, ending her marriage to Olakunle Churchill was the best choice she has ever made.

She said this when discussing the counsel she offered to another single mother.

Through a private Instagram direct message, the single mother had questioned how she managed to go on after her ex-partner abandoned her and their son.

In response, the actress corrected her, saying that she had left the marriage for the benefit of herself and her kid, not the other way around.

“First and foremost, it was my decision to leave my marriage, not the other way around,” Dikeh stated. Not only did I need to get out of a bad circumstance for myself, but I also needed to get out for my kid. The best choice I have ever made.

She informed the woman that if she makes an investment in herself and is dedicated to personal development, she can become the person she wants to be.

“Dear single mothers, I don’t have a manual for these things,” Dikeh stated in her Instagram post sharing the message. I’m neither of them.

Love has been the best instructor I’ve had. I simply let God do what He wants to accomplish, and that’s sufficient for me. Take courage from God, and above all, keep family things private.
In 2017, Tonto Dikeh and Churchill’s marriage collapsed due to accusations of infidelity and domestic abuse.

The couple had a boy as a child.

Tonto accuses him of being a deadbeat parent on social media, and the pair continues to be negative about each other even after their divorce.

Churchill defended himself by saying the actress was the one who kept him from seeing their baby.
