Following a distress call from residents in the villages of Gangawa and Kangaleri in the Gogolom area, Division of Mora, MNJTF troops responded and saved Mrs. Genevieve, Head of Service at the Department of Physical Education in Logone and Chari, Cameroon, as well as the other individuals.
After engaging the terrorists, the MNJTF soldiers left their captives behind and escaped.
To make sure they are doing well, the rescued victims are presently getting medical evaluation.
In a different operation, Babagana Zaninu, a vital Boko Haram logistics supplier, was intercepted in Gubio by MNJTF troops stationed in Sector 3, Mongunu.
Zaninu was captured in possession of a Toyota pickup truck that was filled with food, illegal narcotics, and other supplies meant for Boko Haram fighters.
Soft drinks, sugar, and wheat were among the goods that were taken in and were intended to keep the terrorists going.
Under questioning, Zaninu admitted that he had bought the goods from the Gubio market with the intention of delivering them to Gazabure Village, a known Boko Haram stronghold.
