
The leaders of many security agencies in the state made an important visit to the Njaba Divisional Headquarters and the Okwelle community in order to foster confidence in the wake of the recent failed attack against the divisional headquarters of the Njaba Police.

The visit came after militants suspected of being connected to IPOB/ESN repelled an attack on Njaba Division and attacked scrap traders in Okwelle’s northern region.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, along with other security chiefs and Brigadier General UA Lawal of the 34 Artillery Brigade Obinze, Commander of Oguta Naval Base, Commodore MB Salisu, Senior Special Advisor to the Governor on Security Affairs, Rtd Gen. Joseph Ogbonna, Commissioner of Homeland Security, Hon. Modestus Osakwe, and other security chiefs, were said to have commended the officers for their valour in defending the division and urged them to keep going in the face of any threats.
He declared that the officers’ proactive stance demonstrated the security services’ unwavering commitment to protecting the people and their staff.
During the delegation’s visit to Okwelle, they met hospitalised injured victims and offered support and assurances that security agencies were working together to catch those who were responsible for the violent acts. They also sent condolences to the families of those who had been harmed by the attacks.
At the same meeting in Ama Hausa, the security chiefs reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the general safety of all citizens. These leaders represent the Northern communities in the State.
The police spokeswoman went on to say that the security chiefs’ coordinated efforts demonstrated a proactive reaction to current security issues.
He said, “Their ongoing involvement with the community will promote trust and cooperation, ultimately boosting the state’s safety and security.”
