In response to a declaration from the Nigerian presidency announcing that Tinubu would not be attending the 79th United Nations General Assembly session in New York, Sowore wrote this on his official X handle on Thursday.
“Tinubu will skip #UNGA; after the Chinese trip and London medicals, this man can’t move,” Sowore tweeted.

Vice President Kashim Shettima will lead Nigeria’s delegation to the 79th United Nations General Assembly in New York, replacing Tinubu as the head of state.
Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu’s Special Advisor for Information and Strategy, made this claim.
The presidential aide’s statement stated that Tinubu want to concentrate on domestic matters, as per the government’s assertion.
According to the announcement, President Bola Tinubu would not be present in New York this year for the 79th United Nations General Assembly session.
Vice President Kashim Shettima has been instructed by the President to head Nigeria’s delegation.
