Edo Election: Sunday at 10 a.m., INEC will start compiling results.

Omuoha gave the people confidence that the collation process will follow INEC’s set standards and be carried out in complete transparency.

The Edo State governorship election was held on Saturday. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared that the results collation process will start at 10 am this Sunday.

Dr. Anugbum Omuoha, the Edo State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), verified this in a statement early on Sunday morning.

Omuoha gave the people confidence that the collation process will follow INEC’s set standards and be carried out in complete transparency.

“This is to inform the general public, stakeholders, and observers that the ongoing Edo State governorship election results collation will resume today, Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 10 am,” the announcement states.

“The commission stated that it was grateful for everyone’s patience and cooperation and that it will make sure the collation process adheres to the established parameters.

“As we work to ensure a credible and accurate outcome of this significant election, we appreciate the parties’ cooperation and patience.”

But Omuoha urged everyone to maintain composure and discipline, emphasising that INEC is still committed to holding an impartial, free, and transparent election in Edo State.
