IPOB vows to go after distributors and producers, alleging that wanted South African returnees are behind the trafficking of crystal meth in Southeast Nigeria.

In a statement released on Sunday by Emma Powerful, the Media and Publicity Secretary for IPOB, the group stated that its Intelligence Unit had found roughly ten plants in Umuaka town that were manufacturing crystal meth.

In the Umuaka community in the Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State, South-East Nigeria, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have vowed to hunt down and deal brutally with producers and distributors of the dangerous and damaging illicit hard drug, crystal meth (methamphetamine), also known as Mkpurummiri.

In a statement released on Sunday by Emma Powerful, the Media and Publicity Secretary for IPOB, the group stated that its Intelligence Unit had found roughly ten plants in Umuaka town that were manufacturing crystal meth.

Six members of the Umuaka Community returned from South Africa and set up these drug factories. In an effort to destroy Igbo youth, these drug dealers in South Africa have chosen to relocate their operations back to the Southeast, according to Powerful.

He declared, “These infamous drug dealers operate out of these hotels to distribute their illicit substances to other states, like Lagos, Kano, Rivers State (Igweoch/Port Harcourt), Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, and other areas in Nigeria. They also run certain hotels and nightclubs in Owerri, Imo State.

The fight for an independent Biafra Nation is unrelated to the violent crimes occurring in Imo State’s Orlu Local Government Area. Some of these violent drug dealers pose as activists for Biafra’s liberation, but in actuality, they are just narcotics traffickers.

With this news release, IPOB is requesting that anyone producing and distributing Mkpurummiri in Orlu and similar products elsewhere in Alaigbo cease activities right away. We know who these people are and who their accomplices are.

“If you do not heed this warning, IPOB will take all necessary steps to ensure that your illicit drug business is shut down, in addition to making your identities public.”

In order for you to be referred to be millionaires, IPOB declared that it would not “sit by and watch criminals destroy Igbo youths with illicit drugs.”

He declared, “For our peace and security, IPOB is urging all well-meaning Igbo sons and daughters to stand with us in destroying the illegal drug gang in Alaigbo. IPOB issues a warning to all Igbo people, regardless of age, to cease supporting them by ceasing to distribute and consume Mkpurummiri.

“The individuals who organised the manufacturing of these Mkpurummiri are wanted felons in South Africa who fled to the Southeast to exterminate the Igbo people.”

IPB volunteers are keeping an eye on them. You will be dealt with as a criminal and a murderer if you are discovered dispersing these Mkpurummiri.
