Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, attacked the People Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday in response to the results of the Edo State gubernatorial election.

Primate Ayodele claimed that the opposition groups in Nigeria were only active online rather than in person.

Primate Ayodele claimed in a statement signed by his media assistant, Oluwatosin Osho, that the PDP’s status as an opposition party had ended due to the ineffectiveness of the platform’s governors.

The prophet clarified that there will be electoral malpractices in the 2027 presidential election, despite having warned the PDP to be on the lookout for them prior to the Edo poll.

Ayodele said: “I have warned Governor Obaseki and the Edo PDP about the outcome of the results seven times, but they have refused to listen to warnings and have not taken the necessary steps to win the election.”

“This is what Nigerians should anticipate in 2027: electoral malpractice would decide the winner if caution isn’t exercised.

“There is no legal system to defend your rights; Edo serves as a model for what to expect in 2027.” The party is dead, the opposition is feeble, and the PDP governors are all inert, self-centred, and confused.

Opposition parties, according to Primate Ayodele, are groups of bonded individuals who have been reduced to ceremonial politicians.

He brought up a few influential opposition figures who were more dynamic than the opposition parties of the younger age.

“There is no opposition; those who do exist are enslaved, serve only as ceremonial governors, and lack initiative.”

“Where are the opposition party leaders like Wike, Saraki, Oshiomhole, Rotimi Amaechi, and Fayose? They are all gone. All that’s left of the opposition are digital platforms because the younger opposition parties are so boring.

“Most governors, especially in the PDP, are only interested in their own interests; they have no influence and will only betray themselves,” he remarked.
