After the disqualification ruling, Naomi Campbell says, “I Was Not in Control of My Charity.”

After being disqualified from serving as a trustee because of inadequate management of her organisation, Naomi Campbell replies.

After being barred from serving as a trustee for five years due to the organisation Commission’s discovery of serious financial mismanagement, supermodel Naomi Campbell claimed she was not in charge of her organisation.

“I was not in control of my charity,” Campbell said as she addressed media about the organisation Commission’s most recent findings. She also emphasised her profound concerns.

The supermodel was barred from acting as a trustee for a charity in England and Wales as a result of a verdict on Thursday that expressed concerns about the financial management and governance of the poverty charity she founded almost two decades prior.

According to reports, the organisation paid £12,000 for a flight to Nice in order to move art and jewellery, and they also paid £7,800 for the model to stay in an opulent hotel.

Bianka Hellmich and Veronica Chou, the other two trustees, are facing harsher suspensions of four and nine years, respectively.

Following an investigation, it was discovered that Hellmich had received unlawful consultancy fees of £290,000, which was against the charity’s bylaws. Even though Hellmich pledged to reimburse the monies, the Commission’s temporary managers made sure the charity got the reimbursements.
