Patience Umo Eno, the first lady of Akwa Ibom, is dead.

The UYO-AKWA Ibom State Government has reported the unexpected death of Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, the state governor’s wife.

In a notice issued at the crack of dawn on Friday, the State First Lady passed away due to an ailment that was not previously publicised, according to State Commissioner for Information Ini Ememobong.

“It is with heavy hearts that we (Akwa Ibom Government) announce the passing of the Wife of the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Her Excellency, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, following an illness,” stated Ememobong’s statement titled “Unexpected Sunset.”

On September 26, 2024, she died away quietly at the hospital in front of her family. The family asks for kindhearted people’s prayers and support during this trying time, and they submit to God’s plan.

The family will provide more information as needed. The family respectfully asks for privacy during this time of loss for their mother, grandma, and dear wife.

In spite of this significant personal loss, His Excellency, Governor Pastor Umo Eno, reminds all the people that his dedication to serving the state is unshakeable and expresses gratitude to everyone who has supported the first family during this time.
