Rate increases are made by satellite internet provider Starlink.

The monthly subscription fees of Starlink, a satellite internet service, have been raised.

The company said that both new and existing clients will be impacted by the fee increase in a statement it sent on Tuesday.

The normal home plan will now cost ₦75,000, while the mobile regional package (which includes unlimited roaming) will cost ₦167,000.

the worldwide roam (mobile) bundle costs ₦717,000.

As per the statement, the updated charges will take effect immediately for new clients and on October 31, 2024 for current users.

The increase was justified by the corporation as the result of “excessive levels of inflation,” which forced service rates to be adjusted to reflect current economic conditions.

“As of October 31, 2024, your monthly service fee will increase by one month. The notice stated, “The price increase is effective immediately for new customers.”

Customers can cancel at any time without incurring any fees, the company stated, if they decide they no longer want to use the service.
