Champions League: Ancelotti explains why Real Madrid fell to Lille 1-0

The manager of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, offered his thoughts on the team’s shocking 1-0 loss to Lille in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The 36-game unbeaten streak of Los Blancos was ended by the current holders.

After the match, Ancelotti acknowledged to reporters that the Ligue 1 team was superior to Madrid.

Additionally, Ancelotti called his players “bad and slow.”

“Lille were better and deserved to win,” he declared. Tonight we were slow and awful.

“We didn’t produce; we had no ideas, and the possession was slow. We were awful in every way.

On Saturday, Real Madrid will play Villarreal in La Liga.
