Former NAWOJ Chairperson Emenalom is named Acting Head of Service by Governor Uzodinma.

The new Head of Service for the State Civil Service is Mrs. Chikodi Emenalom, a former chair of the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) of the State Council, appointed by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma.

According to a press statement from Oguwike Nwachukwu, the governor’s media adviser and chief press secretary, the appointment is effective immediately and replaces Raymond Ucheoma, the former head of service, who retired from the role in accordance with state civil service regulations.

According to Nwachukwu, the Acting Head of Service joined the State Civil Service in 1990 as an Information Officer and has since gained experience from many Ministries, bringing a wealth of knowledge to her new position.

He said that after congratulating Emenalom on her recent appointment, the governor commanded her to use her extensive background in the Service to the fullest extent possible in the performance of her duties.
