In Kaduna, the NDLEA confiscates illegal drugs and detains 420 people.

In the third quarter of the year, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, or NDLEA, detained 420 people and collected 1,045.93 kg of various illegal narcotics from the Kaduna State Command.

This was announced in Kaduna on Thursday by Mr. Samaila Danmalam, the agency commander.

He also said that some illegal drugs had been seized by the command.

Danmalam vowed that the command will keep up its fight against illegal drug trafficking while simultaneously requesting timely and relevant information to enable prompt action and preventative measures.

“During the period under review, the command detained 420 individuals in total, 16 females and 404 males.

The figure is a representation of drug smugglers, sellers, and users.

“The illicit substances grossly weighed 1,045.93 kg and included methamphetamine, cannabis sativa, rohypnol, tramadol, and other psychotropic substances.”

During the course of its multiple operations during the stated time, the command captured four locally made firearms and a total of 1,393 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition.
