Babcock advises kids to aim to be the greatest.

Babcock University High School graduates in Ogun State have been counselled to uphold the principles and qualities that were taught in them throughout their time at the school and to constantly aim to be the best versions of themselves.

Dr. Bolalenle Adebawojo, the principal, spoke during the 29th graduation ceremony and exhorted the graduating students to uphold the ideals of responsibility, hard effort, integrity, and faith in God as they proceeded in life.

“Believe in yourselves, work hard, and always strike to be the best version of yourselves,” Adebawojo said, praising the pupils for their development and commitment over the years. Take a minute to consider how far you have come as you prepare to embark on an exciting new journey. You came to this school three or six years ago with open minds and enthusiastic hearts, ready to take on new tasks and meet new people. You have shown bravery, curiosity, and hope in overcoming those obstacles. You have demonstrated to us what it is to put forth a lot of effort, be kind, and never give up.

She also urged students to make sensible decisions and see education as a lifetime adventure, depending on God for

As you graduate from Babcock University High School, keep in mind that education is an ongoing process. Accept it with the same fervour and resolve that you have demonstrated here. She admonished, “Stand for what is right, trust in God’s plan for you, rely on His strength, and pay attention to His guidance.”

The Vice-Chancellor praised both recent and previous accomplishments while highlighting the school’s stellar records in academics, athletics, and competitions. He was represented by his Chief of Staff, Prof. Oladimeji Alao.

In addition, he urged the pupils to keep up the bonds and friendships they had made while attending the school.

Alao was also enthusiastic about the school’s intention to start an A-Level program for pupils who are not yet sixteen.

“I have observed that the school intends to launch an A-Level course. For our bright and youthful grads who graduate from high school before turning sixteen, this will be a gentle landing. This scheme will provide them a timely chance, he said, since the federal government may implement a rule prohibiting anyone under the age of sixteen from enrolling in college the next year.

Prof. Abiodun Adesegun, the chairman of the management board of Babcock University Schools, commended the pupils for their achievements.

In order to ensure that kids were well-rounded, he applauded the school for fusing spirituality and technology achievements. He gave the graduates advice on how to utilise technology to its fullest.

Over the years, we have worked to create well-rounded persons by fusing aspects of the modern world with spirituality. Technology use has benefits and drawbacks, but in my opinion, the benefits exceed the drawbacks. Technology can be used for positive global impact. I thus implore you to grasp every chance, think creatively, and use the principles you have been taught in order to succeed and stand out,” he urged.

Maintaining strong morals is crucial, as guest speaker Prof. Isaac Olayinka Oyewole emphasised in his presentation “Building Resilience in a Morally Decadent World.”

He forewarned against the perils of violence, corruption, and other social vices as well as the consequences of moral deterioration in society.

He urged everyone present, including parents and students, to act as change agents for the better in their neighbourhoods.
