According to reports, there was a significant downpour in several areas of Ogbomoso on Wednesday and Thursday early.
The Ora River, which passes through the city’s eastern region, overflowed its banks as a result, causing severe flooding.
Isale Ora and Aduinin are among the impacted places.
Notably, a timber store selling planks near the riverbed and a church dedicated to Cherubim and Seraphim were completely drowned.
It was revealed that the flood also caused damage to other nearby properties.
Vanguard has learnt that the state administration has not yet responded to the tragedy, despite the inhabitants of the affected areas making fervent pleas for help at the time this article was filed.
