Several members have called for disciplinary action after accusing one another of working against the party’s goals.
As a result, on August 21, the PDP National Working Committee formed a disciplinary committee, whose members would be able to file petitions, hear arguments from both the accused and the petitioners, and then provide recommendations to the National Executive Committee.
Ikimi expressed optimism in a statement released on Saturday, saying that the committee’s impartiality, resoluteness, and fairness will satisfy the aspirations of its many members around the nation and help the party regain momentum.

In order to address the demands of our thronging membership across the country and the suffering Nigerian people, who is currently in dire need of an adequate National Leadership, we hope that our fairness, firmness, and decisiveness would restore the hope and confidence of our great party.
“Therefore, we implore all PDP members and leaders to provide the committee with the assistance and collaboration required to effectively complete its task.”
