Resuming, the new FCT Police Commissioner identifies five priority areas.

On Monday, CP Olatunji Rilwan Disu began serving as the Federal Capital Territory’s (FCT) new commissioner of police in Abuja.

Speaking to reporters at the Command’s headquarters, Olatunji vowed that his administration “will be marked by a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of crime and criminality” and issued a strong warning to troublemakers.

He declared that the Command will not falter in its dedication to defending the region and making sure that law enforcement is both efficient and considerate of every citizen’s rights.

Olatunji stated that his administration would give top priority to the following five areas of duty: public engagement, technology integration, intelligence collecting, training and development, and community policing projects.

“We will strengthen our community policing programs to make sure that our officers are more approachable and visible, encouraging residents to feel safe and trusted.”

“Intelligence Gathering: Strengthening our intelligence-gathering capabilities will be crucial in preemptively addressing potential threats and criminal activities.

Technology Integration: To improve our operational efficiency and response times, we will use tools like data analytics and surveillance systems to make use of contemporary technology in our enforcement activities.

“Training and Development: To guarantee that our officers are outfitted with the newest methods and expertise in contemporary police, we will place a strong emphasis on ongoing training.

“To strengthen the relationship between the police and the community, we will actively engage the public through town hall meetings and outreach initiatives,” he declared.
