In a new NBC poll, Trump is tied with US Vice President and Kamala Harris neck and neck.

Voters’ favourable opinions of Trump’s presidency are also responsible for this increase. Three weeks before Election Day, the new poll reveals more significant results, such as Harris’s diminishing popularity from last month after a notable surge during the summer.

Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are statistically tied, according to the most recent national NBC News poll. Trump is benefiting from Republicans coming back to his side following a contentious debate last month.

The spike can also be ascribed to voters’ favourable evaluation of Trump’s presidency. Released a mere three weeks prior to Election Day, the latest survey reveals more noteworthy results, such as Harris’s diminishing popularity in comparison to the previous month after a notable surge throughout the summer.

It also demonstrates that there is a significant difference in the support that men and women have for Harris and Trump, and that the topic of abortion has become one of the main drivers of voter motivation in the 2024 election.

Furthermore, a national poll by The Napolitan Institute shows a tie between the two contenders at 49%. These results point to a closely fought election.

“Any signs of momentum for Kamala Harris have stopped as summer has turned into fall,” stated Democratic pollster Jeff Horwitt, who collaborated with Republican pollster Bill McInturff on this study. “There is a tie in the race.”

According to McInturff, “headwinds” for Harris have contributed to the contest’s narrowing, such as people seeing Trump’s leadership more favourably than Biden’s and worries that the vice president doesn’t represent a difference from President Joe Biden.

McInturff characterised Harris as “an incumbent party member requesting another term.”

“Can Kamala Harris rise to the occasion and fill in the gaps that voters have about her?” is the question facing her. questioned Democratic pollster Horwitt.

“The task facing Donald Trump is to demonstrate that the disorder and his own actions, which troubled a lot of people during his first term, won’t hinder his ability to lead and represent the United States of America,” he continued.

Whether the contenders can rise to these difficulties will become clear in a month, according to Horwitt.

When it comes to a head-to-head comparison, Trump and Harris are tied at 48% in the most recent NBC News survey. This is a big change from the survey conducted in September, when Harris was leading Trump by 5 points, 49% to 44%.

It’s important to remember, though, that the September result was within the error margin.

Trump leads Harris 47% to 46% when third-party candidates are taken into account; 7% of voters are either undecided or like other candidates. This is also different from September, when Harris led by six points on the enlarged ballot.

The two major-party candidates appear to be drawing closer in the survey, which was taken between October 4 and 8. In sharp contrast, Harris was leading the group according to the figures from the previous month.

This new survey adds gasoline to the already strong speculation surrounding the 2024 presidential race, with just weeks until race Day.

Despite the tie between Harris and Trump, the data differs when analysed by demographic categories.

Important demographic data reveals that, in terms of ethnic categories, Black voters overwhelmingly favour Harris (84% to 11%). Harris is in the lead among younger voters, those between the ages of 18 and 34, 57% to 37%.

When it comes to education, Harris leads among white voters who have completed college (55% vs 41%).

It was observed that Trump leads in voters’ geographic location (75% to 23%) while there is a notable gender discrepancy, with women voting for Harris by 14 points (55% to 41%) and males voting for Trump by 16 points (56% to 40%).

These differences demonstrate how complicated the election is, with different groups expressing strong preferences for each candidate.
