Candidate selection for the IBILE Youth Academy has begun with the Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development.
This was revealed on the X platform on Sunday by the Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr. Mobolaji Abubakre Ogunlende, using the Lagos State Government handle.
He clarified that a few individuals who were picked from the large pool of applications received an email inviting them to a screening interview.
Ikeja Youth Centre and other approved locations around the State’s five divisions are hosting this screening.
In order to advance to the following round, applicants must demonstrate their abilities and qualities.
According to Ogunlende, “This screening exercise will take place at designated centres throughout the five divisions of the State from October 10 to October 18, 2024.” Basically, it’s a one-on-one meeting between the Assessors and those planning to attend this year’s IBILE Youth Academy. They must give it their all during the procedure since only the most qualified candidates will advance to the following round.
A fair playing field and transparency were guaranteed by the Permanent Secretary, Pharm (Mrs.) Toyin Oke-Osanyintolu, who also advised participants to make the most of the process in order to seize possibilities that may change their lives.
According to Oke-Osanyintolu, the Ministry founded the IBILE Youth Academy with the goal of instilling in young people the values of leadership and voluntarism, which would enable them to stand out in any situation.
