Attackers from Boko Haram massacre a soldier and a civilian girlfriend at the Borno Military Base.

According to security officials who spoke with DAILYPULSE, the soldier lost his life when militants assaulted a military outpost known as Tango 19.

Following an attack by terrorists from Boko Haram on Nigerian troops belonging to the 112 battalion in the Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State, a soldier was killed on Monday.

A woman who was described as the deceased’s girlfriend and who had allegedly broken into the camp the night before was also slain by the gunman.

Early this morning, there was an incident involving our troops in Mafa LGA, Borno State’s 112 battalion. One of our Tango 19 soldiers was murdered by Boko Haram’s raid.

One of the individuals informed SaharaReporters, “They also killed one girl the soldier secretly brought to the camp last night.”

For almost twenty years, Nigeria has been fighting rebels in the Northeast.

Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, the army spokesperson, was not reachable by phone when attempts were made to get a response.
