The head teacher of the elementary school where the suspect’s daughter goes reportedly told the Elere Police Division on Friday at around 5 p.m. that the 11-year-old student told her at 7 a.m. the same day that her father had beaten and wounded her.
The youngster also said, according to the head teacher, that her father, Yusuf, had beaten and hurt her elder brother, who is 13 years old.
Following the complaint, the children were rescued, given medical attention, and sent to their mother’s sister for safe care, according to the police. Meanwhile, efforts are being made to apprehend the suspect, Yusuf, who is now at large.
The investigation stated, “On 18/0/10/2024 at approximately 1700hrs, the head teacher of a primary school in Orile Agege Lagos, reported at Elere Division that on the same date at 0700hrs, one of her pupils, a female aged 11, told her that her father, one Kadiri Yusuf, alias Alado, beats her, injuring her bodily, and that he also beats and injures her elder brother, aged 13.
