A 42-year-old man known only as Gbolahan Osinusi is accused of defiling a 12-year-old girl, which resulted in many abortions.

Osinusi was the victim’s guardian in addition to being a teacher at a school in Ketu-Epe, Lagos, according to a statement sent to Vanguard by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command.

It was also revealed that Osinusi had been having sex with the survivor since she was 12 years old. When the survivor became 17 in December 2023, Osinusi had her take an oath not to tell anyone else about their relationship, or else she would perish.

The statement said, “A case of defilement/abortion was transferred from Festac Division to the Gender Unit of the Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja, on September 30, 24 at around 3 p.m. The 42-year-old Gbolahan Osinusi “m,” a teacher at a school in Ketu-Epe, Lagos State, and the guardian of her 12-year-old daughter, was accused in the complaint that brought the case to light of having sex with the survivor from the time she was 12 years old until December 2023, when she was 17 years old.

She went on to say that Gbolahan Osinusi had the survivor swear under penalty of death that she would not inform anybody, and that he repeatedly brought her to a nurse named Mariam Fatolu to have abortion pills given to her whenever she became pregnant.

“The aforementioned Gbolahan Osinusi was charged on October 16, 24 in court, and the aforementioned Mariam is presently being treated at General Hospital Ketu-Epe.” She will be charged as soon as possible in court.
