Breaking: Friday marks the start of the computer-based WASSCE

The Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination for Private Candidates, 2024– Second Series will start on Friday, October 25 and run through Friday, December 20, 2024, according to the West African Examinations Council.

According to a statement released by WAEC on Tuesday, the registration period has been extended to Tuesday, October 29, 2024, and the test will be administered using a hybrid method.

According to the statement, “The test will use a hybrid delivery method, meaning that the objective or multiple-choice questions will be displayed on the screen and candidates will have to respond on the screen. The essay and practical questions will also be displayed on the screen, but candidates will need to respond using the provided answer booklets.”

Candidates who may want to employ paper and pen mode for the entire exam papers now have that choice thanks to the examination diet.

In light of this, the Council would like to notify all prospective applicants that the registration deadline has been moved to Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

Additionally, it disclosed that “the Walk-in-Candidate” option would be available at the conclusion of registration for candidates who register 24 hours before to the deadline for the specific paper of their choosing.” It is possible to acquire the final test schedule from the WAEC Nigeria website.

It further stated that all registered and prospective candidates should utilise the many educational tools offered by the Council.
