China will continue to improve its visa-waiver policy.

China promised on Tuesday that additional work will be done to maximise the visa waiver and other pertinent laws and regulations to make it easier for foreigners to travel to and remain in China.

In answer to a question concerning recent remarks made by foreign media, Lin Jian, the spokesperson for the foreign ministry, made the statements during a daily press conference.

Travelling to China is now more convenient for foreigners because to pertinent enabling measures in digital payments, multilingual facilities, and speedy transit systems.

Lin stated, “We are happy to see the travel boom.”

He stated that the most recent data from the third quarter of this year showed that there were 8.186 million international visitors, an increase of 48.8% over the previous year.

Of them, 4.885 million had entered China under the visa-free regime, representing a 78.6% increase from the previous year.

Lin stated that international visitors now have to wait less time for checks and inspections upon admission, thanks to the execution of a number of helpful measures.

They may take the tube by just swiping their foreign bank cards.
