The 2024 Player of the Year Awards date and location are announced by CAF.

It has been formally confirmed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) that the 2024 CAF Awards will take place on December 16, 2024, in Marrakech, Morocco.

Morocco will host the coveted ceremony for the third time in a row, after the star-studded African extravaganza last year.

Africa’s footballing prowess will once again be celebrated in Marrakech, a city renowned for its thriving tourism and rich cultural heritage.

The renowned CAF African Player of the Year honours in the men’s and women’s divisions are the highlight of the awards, which recognise exceptional accomplishments in club and national football events.

Several well-known individuals are anticipated to be in the running for the prized award, even though the official list of candidates for Africa’s Best Player has not yet been finalised. These include Brahim Díaz of Morocco, Serhou Guirassy of Guinea, and Ademola Lookman of Nigeria, who have all had exceptional seasons in their leagues and competitions.

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who continues to dominate on the club and international levels, is the current African Footballer of the Year in the men’s division.

After an incredible season on the pitch, Asisat Oshoala, another legendary figure in Nigerian football, is the current champion in the women’s division.

The 2024 ceremony’s exact start time has not yet been confirmed by CAF, although further information is anticipated soon.
