Israel hits Iranian “targets.”

Following reports of explosions heard in Tehran, Israel’s military stated in a statement early on Saturday local time that it was “conducting precise strikes on military targets in Iran.”

Iran has been “relentlessly attacking” Israel since October 7th “on seven fronts – including direct attacks from Iranian soil,” according to the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), which stated the strikes are a retaliation.

“The State of Israel has the right and the duty to respond, just like any other sovereign nation in the world,” the statement said.

Its “defensive and offensive capabilities are fully mobilised,” the IDF added.

Iran launched a volley of missiles towards Israel earlier in October following the murder of Hassan Nasrallah, the head of Hezbollah, and other others. For weeks, the area has been anticipating Israel’s reaction.
