
A portion of the Lagos Blue Line track has been completely destroyed by fire at the location across from NEPA Station near Eko Bridge heading into Apogbon.
According to information obtained by Vanguard, the fire started on Saturday around 4:12 p.m.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority recorded footage of fire raging on a few train track segments.
At the location, emergency personnel were also observed putting out the fire.

However, Amodu Shakri, the Lagos Fire Service spokesperson, requested time to offer an update on the fire situation when called.
However, he pointed out that there was currently no casualty.
Gboyega Akosile, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, stated in a post on X that no casualties had been recorded and that there was no rail service at the time of the occurrence.
As the situation was under control, he urged Lagosians in the axis to continue with their daily activities. “A team of safety and emergency personnel and other first responders had completely put out the fire,” he added.
