Ogun has suspended the instructor who killed the student by flogging him.

A teacher has been suspended by the Ogun State government through the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology for allegedly beating and punishing Master Monday Arijo, an SS2 pupil at Obada Grammar School in Obada, Idi-emi, which is said to have resulted in his death.

The instructor was also immediately arrested as a result of the Friday event, and the school’s principal, Mrs. Tamrat Onaolapo, was immediately questioned for permitting the student to be subjected to physical punishment in violation of state laws.

The principal was given a full day to defend her conduct and explain why she shouldn’t face disciplinary punishment for defying established authority.

A letter of condolence was then issued to the family, expressing sympathy for their son’s untimely loss and pledging to secure justice for them.

The Ministry’s Permanent Secretary signed the letter, which characterised the late learner as an outstanding student who will be missed by his peers, the school, and the state as a whole.

It then prayed for the deceased soul’s rest and the necessary fortitude to help the family deal with the irreparable loss.
