Iran intends to use drones and ballistic missiles to attack Israel from Iraqi territory, according to Axios

Iran is probably going to use drones and ballistic missiles to strike Israel in the next several days. According to Axios, the strike is anticipated to be executed from Iraqi land.

The news agency was informed by two Israeli sources that pro-Iranian extremists in Iraq will carry out the strike on Israel. Tehran is probably using this strategy to prevent an Israel Defence Forces (IDF) reprisal strike. Before the US presidential elections, the shelling may take place.

According to sources who spoke to Axios, the extremists’ strike will make extensive use of drones and ballistic missiles.

In a response to Axios, an unidentified U.S. official also pointed out that if a similar choice is taken, Iran might start preparing for the assault right away.

Mohammad Mohammadi Golpayegani, the Supreme Leader of Iran’s chief of staff, said only today that his nation would respond to an Israeli strike with “strong” force and “make the enemy regret” such an assault.

Israel’s attack on Iran

Israel attacked Iranian military installations on October 26. According to reports, the strike was directed at an Iranian space centre used for the assembly of ballistic missiles.

In reaction to a heavy bombardment that took place in early October, Israel took this action.

Satellite photos of the Iranian space centre that showed damage from the Israeli strike were made public by the Associated Press a few days ago.
