The president of Iran claims that a possible truce “may affect” how the country responds against Israel.

The president of Iran stated on Sunday that Tehran’s reaction to Israel’s recent attacks on Iranian military installations “may be impacted” by a possible halt between Israel and its allies.

According to official news agency IRNA, Masoud Pezeshkian stated, “It could affect the intensity and type of our response if they (the Israelis) reconsider their behaviour, accept a ceasefire, and stop massacring the oppressed and innocent people of the region.”

According to the news agency, he went on to say that Iran “will not leave unanswered any aggression against its sovereignty and security.”

According to Israel, the October 26 strikes were carried out by Israeli aeroplanes in reprisal for Tehran’s October 1 missile onslaught.

Iran responded by characterising the strike as retaliation for the murder of a Revolutionary Guards commander and terrorist figures it supports.

Israel has cautioned Iran against retaliation since the strikes last month, but Tehran has pledged to do so.

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has the last word in all state affairs, declared on Saturday that the Islamic republic will strike back.

During an address to students in Tehran, Khamenei warned that the Zionist dictatorship and the United States will undoubtedly face a severe retribution for their actions against Iran, the Iranian people, and the resistance front.

He was speaking about the coalition of armed organisations supported by Tehran, which includes the Palestinian Islamist organisation Hamas, the Hezbollah movement in Lebanon, and the Huthi rebels in Yemen.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, said that the attacks “hit Iran’s defence capabilities and missile production.”

Four military personnel were killed in the strike, according to Iran’s military, while a few radar equipment suffered “limited damage.” A civilian was also killed, according to Iranian media.
