Donald Trump, the Republican candidate for president of the United States, has stated that he would be willing to accept defeat following Tuesday’s vote “if it’s a fair election.”
In the meantime, he expressed reservations once more regarding the use of electronic voting machines.
“If it’s a fair election, I would be the first to admit when I’m defeated. I think it’s been fair so far,” Trump remarked.
After casting his ballot in Florida, he informed reporters, repeating a warning he has made numerous times during the campaign.
Donald Trump had already declared that he was “very confident” that he would regain the White House.
After voting in one of the most controversial US elections in decades on Election Day in Florida, the Republican made this statement on Tuesday.
At a West Palm Beach polling station, Trump told reporters, “I feel very confident.”
He went on to say that he thinks he “ran a great campaign” against Kamala Harris, his Democratic opponent.
Regarding electronic voting
He reaffirmed his earlier criticism of electronic voting machines, claiming they were less secure than paper votes and would cause the outcome to be known later. He was wearing a red “Make America Great Again” cap.
“All of this money is spent on machines. By 10 p.m., everything would be finished if they used paper ballots, voter ID, citizenship documentation, and one-day voting. He told reporters in West Palm Beach, “It’s crazy.”
“Did you know that paper is more advanced than computers these days?” he continued. You cannot if the paper is watermarked. The results of it are astounding. You are unable to cheat in any way.
When asked if he would urge supporters to refrain from violence in the event of post-election unrest, he criticised the question.
“I don’t need to inform them that there won’t be any violence. There won’t be any violence, of course. My fans are not violent people,” Trump said.
