As the 47th President of the United States of America, President Bola Tinubu has congratulated President Donald Trump on his reelection.

Tinubu revealed this in a statement made by Bayo Onanuga, Special Advisor to the President, (Information & Strategy), who also mentioned that both nations would address global issues impacting citizens, advance peace, and cultivate economic collaboration.

President Tinubu claims that Trump’s win is a testament to the faith and confidence that the American people have in his ability to lead. He commends them for their dedication to democracy.

“President Tinubu is confident that President Trump’s return to the White House as the 47th president will usher in an era of sincere, mutually beneficial, and reciprocal economic and development partnerships between Africa and the United States, especially considering his experience as the 45th president from 2017 to 2021.
