Popular Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, better known as Mr. P and part of the band P-Square, has denied claims that he stole songs from his twin brother, Paul Okoye, a fellow musician who performs under the stage name Rudeboy.
The song “Winning” is at the heart of the claim.
Rudeboy recently asserted that he composed and recorded “Winning” for his second album, which is scheduled for release in 2019.
But before he could, Mr. P released the identical song, which was made by their former producer Vampire, and he expressed amazement.
Mr. P responded by taking to Instagram to explain the matter, claiming that he and another artist, Calypso60, co-wrote and composed the song.

Referencing an earlier remark, Mr. P reiterated his wish to concentrate on his music, adding, “Just as I said in my open letter three months ago, ‘Allow me to do my music in peace.’”
While promoting the song, he made an appeal for encouragement and support.
Please give me the freedom to enjoy my new single, WINNING, in peace now that it’s out. Put an end to the negativity!
