The Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) would gain from the integration of artificial intelligence (AI), according to members of the National Association of Air Traffic Engineers (NAAE), who have advocated for its adoption in the aviation industry.
Engineer Selzing Miri, President of NAAE, clarified that there was no need to be concerned about the incorporation of AI.

Miri said that the NAMA navigational fees were insufficient to cover the necessary logistics for the agency’s efficient functioning.
He pleaded with Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, to reevaluate raising NAMA navigation fees.
“The Integrations of AI in CNS/ATM Systems and the Economics implications for the aviation Industry: the Roles of ATSEPs” is the topic of the association’s next Annual General Meeting/Conference in Abuja, which is set for November 22.
In order to keep ATSEPs up to date with their responsibilities after they are fully equipped, he stated that NAAE would keep developing new technology.
Miri acknowledged that the association has seen stability, training, and better welfare for NAAE members while praising the NAMA administration for enhanced welfare. She said that it would have been better if the Federal Government hadn’t deducted 50% of the association’s earnings.
