Tinubu gives Indian Prime Minister Modi GCON

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given the national title of Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) by President Ahmed Tinubu on Sunday.

During the Nigeria-India bilateral meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, President Tinubu gave the PM the honour.

According to him, the Indian leader received the award as a token of Nigeria’s gratitude and dedication to the collaboration between Nigeria and India.

Rekindling and reclassifying the current relationship between Nigeria and India was the purpose of the invitation to the Indian PM, the Nigerian leader noted.
