On Wednesday morning, Deji Adeyanju, his attorney, verified this in a post on his X account.

“The Nigerian police in Owerri have arrested our client Speed Darlington, also known as AKPI, at his show upon his return to Nigeria,” he tweeted.

He went on to say that he was arrested while returning to Nigeria to perform.

At the time this story was filed, it was unknown why Darlington had been arrested.

Remember how the Nigerian authorities detained Speed Darlington on October 4 for allegedly cyberstalking Burna Boy, another musician?

However, he was held for five days before being released on bond on October 9.
