Speaking in a statement, transition team spokesperson Karoline Leavitt stated, “Last night and this morning, a number of President Trump’s Cabinet nominees and Administration appointees were the target of violent, unAmerican threats to their lives and those who live with them.

Leavitt said these events varied from bomb threats to “swatting,” which is the practice of summoning police to someone’s home under false pretences, without naming the target.
Trump-supporting lawmaker Elise Stefanik, who was appointed UN ambassador, said that a bomb threat was made against her New York home.
She added in a statement that when she and her husband and little boy heard about the threat, they were on their way home from Washington for Thanksgiving.
“We take all potential threats seriously,” the FBI stated, adding that it was aware of “numerous bomb threats and swatting incidents.”
Trump has already quickly put together a cabinet of loyalists, some of whom have been criticised for their extreme inexperience, as he gets set to return to the White House in January.
