Mr. Tunde Moshood, Special Assistant on Media and Communications to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, made this known in a statement.

Moshood stated that the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, made the decision during a courtesy visit to Keyamo at his Abuja office.

During the visit, Abubakar disclosed that the Nigerian Air Force had been independently planning its own air show prior to his awareness of the Ministry’s similar initiative.

The statement articulates: “Acknowledging the vast possibilities of collaboration, the Air Chief conceived the partnership concept, understanding that a collective effort will greatly amplify the event’s influence and strengthen its international allure.”

Keyamo praised the Chief of Air Staff for his vision and collaborative efforts, calling it an essential move to highlight Nigeria’s aviation and aerospace potential on a global stage.

“In his remarks, Keyamo emphasised the significance of collaboration between the ministry and the Nigerian Air Force in attaining common goals.”

In November, Keyamo announced that preparations were underway for Nigeria to host a three-day air show in the first quarter of 2025.
