Adesanya has been approved for a Saudi Arabian card
Nassourdine Imavov will fight Israel Adesanya in the main event of the UFC’s first show in Saudi Arabia on February 1 at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, according to Punch Sports Extra.Adesanya has been approved for a Saudi Arabian card
Dana White, the CEO of the UFC, announced the fight card on social media on Saturday. In the co-main event, Michael “Venom” Page moves up to middleweight to fight Shara Magomedov, an undefeated striker.
The fight is Adesanya’s first non-title fight since beating Anderson Silva in February 2019. Brazilian middleweight contender Caio Barralho said that the Nigerian-New Zealander chose to fight Imavov instead of him after talking things over with him.
As the No. 4 ranked middleweight, Adesanya wants to get back on track after losing to champion Dricus du Plessis at UFC 305 in August and to Sean Strickland at UFC 293 in September 2023.
Even with these losses, “The Last Stylebender” is still one of the biggest draws in the UFC. He has a great 24–4 record and 16 knockout wins.

Imavov, who is ranked seventh, is coming into the fight on a three-fight winning streak. He beat Brendan Allen at UFC Paris in September and also beat Jared Cannonier and Roman Dolidze.
The 35-year-old Adesanya is known for his precise punches and unique way of fighting. He has already started getting ready for what many see as a strategic matchup that will help him get back on track in the division.
